About Me

My name is Ashley Muse and I am originally from northwest Indiana, but currently reside in Indianapolis with my husband and kids. I grew up around my parents and grandparents who all had incredible work ethics and the ability to build, make, and engineer about anything I could ever imagine. I learned the basics of carpentry, plumbing, and electric from an early age while helping with various new construction and remodeling projects with my family. Those experiences definitely sparked my interest in architecture and the built environment in general. I spent six years studying architecture at Ball State University where I got the opportunity to travel regularly including two separate study abroad programs. After school I learned that I am not made to simply sit behind a desk and crank out designs and construction documents all day. I am better suited in a career where I get a healthy mix of computer work and being up and about and doing things with my hands. It is very rewarding for me to see a project through from the conceptual stages of design all the way to the final installation. I enjoy doing the parts I can do as well as coordinating team members, vendors, and contractors to complete the rest.

In my free time I enjoy working on creative D.I.Y. projects, doing renovation projects around my house, gardening, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
